Darren Chu
Co-President

Darren is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS, Darren worked in the Capital Projects and Production Engineering groups of a Fortune 500 Canadian integrated energy company. This summer he interned with Bain & Company as a summer associate. Darren holds a BS in chemical engineering from Columbia University, is a licensed Professional Engineer, and is a Three Cairns Climate Fellow.

Nick Franco
Co-President

Nick is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS he was working in power-sector economic consulting and most recently worked for Enel X expanding the company’s footprint in Mexico. This summer he interned with Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking Division. Nick has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boston College and is a Fulbright Scholar.

Paul Chandler
Co-VP of Careers

Paul is a member of the class of 2020. Prior to CBS, Paul worked for PA Consulting Group in the firm’s Energy & Utilities practice, covering power, gas LDC, and water utilities and advising on energy markets, rates and regulation, and utility mergers and acquisitions. Over the past year, Paul has interned in Private Equity with Dorilton Capital and Halmos Capital. This summer he will intern at Goldman Sachs in the firm’s Natural Resources group. Paul received a BA in Economics with a focus on Climate and Energy from Yale University, where he was a recruited varsity athlete.

Sam Cui
VP of Education

Sam is a member of the Class of 2021. Prior to CBS, Sam worked in project finance at SkyPower, a solar energy developer. Sam holds a HBA from Ivey Business School and a BESc in Green Process Engineering from Western University.

Matson Conrad
VP of New Energy & Clean Tech

Matson is a member of the class of 2021 and a Three Cairns Climate Fellow. Prior to school he worked in health care consulting. This past summer he interned for a digital health start-up where he helped raise series A funding. He graduated from Sewanee with a BA in Economics and minors in Chemistry and Business.

Jack Devine
Co-VP of Careers

Jack is a member of the Class of 2021. Prior to CBS, he worked in supply chain, manufacturing, and supervisory roles at Exxon Mobil Corporation. For the summer, he interned with Goldman Sachs in the firm’s Natural Resources group. Jack received his BS in Engineering from Cornell University.

Rishi Iyengar
VP of Events

Rishi is a member of the Class of 2021. Prior to CBS, he was a market analyst and consultant within the Power, Gas, and Renewables practice at IHS Markit. This past summer, he interned at Madison Energy Investments, an infrastructure fund focusing on distributed generation and energy storage. Rishi graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BS in Finance.

Abhijeet Khanna
VP of Treks

Abhijeet is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS, Abhijeet worked for the World Bank Group as Energy Specialist in several renewable energy infrastructure and policy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia. Before the World Bank, he worked with Schlumberger, focusing on upstream oil & gas operations. Abhijeet has done his Bachelors & Masters in Industrial Engineer from the IIT Kharagpur in India.

Jake Muller

Nandita Pandit
VP of Communications

Jake is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS he worked in Westpac Banking Corporation’s corporate banking team as an analyst and in relationship coverage. This summer, he will intern for Evercore in the firm’s New York M&A advisory group. Jake graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Nandita Pandit was first exposed to the energy sector through her work as a Credit and Risk Analyst at DSP BlackRock Investment Managers, a leading mutual fund in India. Her research was primarily in the Oil & Gas, Thermal Energy and Renewable Energy sectors in India. She later transitioned to Reliance Industries, a Fortune 500 Oil & Gas company, where she was a risk analyst for the Corporate Treasury and the Refining and Marketing teams.

Nishant Panigrahi

Javier Puno
VP of Alumni & Prospective Students

Nishant is a member of Class of 2021, and is a Three Cairns Climate Fellow. Prior to CBS, he worked with Halliburton in their Consulting and Project Management Division, planning Halliburton’s largest offshore turn-key project. He has 7 years of experience of managing large cross-functional teams and CAPEX intensive projects. Over the summer, he will be working with the Investment Banking Energy Division at Bank of America. Nishant graduated with a Bachelor in Engineering from Pune University.

Javier is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS, he was an Investment Manager for Vena Energy, Asia-Pacific’s largest renewable energy IPP. This summer, he interned with Blackrock in the firm’s Global Renewable Power team. Javier graduated from New York University with a BA in Economics and a minor in Business Studies.

Alberto Tardio
VP of Symposium

Alberto is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS, Alberto worked at Chevron in California focusing on its upstream operations. This summer he interned at Morgan Stanley as part of its generalist program. Alberto has a degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas.

Sinan Acikalin
VP of Competition

Sinan is a member of the class of 2021. Prior to CBS, Sinan transacted the multibillion debt restructuring of Bereket, a leading energy group in Turkey. Sinan has Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul.
