Aditya Bansal

Aditya is a member of class of 2022. Prior to CBS, he worked as a process engineer at Royal Dutch Shell, licensing gas treatment and refining technologies across the globe. He also worked as an advisor to Shell Foundation and World Bank funded EV startup SMV Greens, assisting them in launching North India’s first Battery Swap project in 2018. This summer he interned with Bank of America in their Natural Resources Investment Banking division. Aditya holds a Bachelors and Masters in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and is a Three Cairns Climate Fellow.

Lekha Choudhary
Co-VP of Symposium

Lekha is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to CBS, Lekha worked at Royal Dutch Shell as an Automation engineer, designing safety systems for several Shell and third-party licensed projects across midstream and renewables sub-verticals. She led the safety system startup and commissioning for the world's largest Floating LNG facility, Prelude in Perth. Lekha holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Chris Battipaglia
VP of Finance

Chris is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to CBS, he worked at J.P. Morgan in the Private Bank. This summer he interned with BNP Paribas in their Investment Banking Group. Chris holds a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University with minors in Business and Finance.

Jeff Laupola

Jeff is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to CBS, Jeff completed internships in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and real estate private equity at Tradewind Capital Group. Jeff also consulted on climate-resilient infrastructure for the Pacific International Center for High Technology Center in Hawaii. Previously, Jeff started his career as a military officer in the US Navy. During his MBA summer internship, Jeff worked at Goldman Sachs with their Natural Resources Investment Banking team. Jeff holds a Masters of Arts in Public Leadership from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelors of Science in Quantitative Economics from the US Naval Academy.

Michelle Morand
Co-VP of Symposium

Michelle is a member of the class of 2022. Michelle is an Alternative Credit specialist covering a wide range of Project Finance projects including: Public & Regulated Power & Utilities (Gen,Trans,Dist), Infrastructure (Ports,Toll Roads), Renewable Energy (Solar,Wind,Biomass,Hydro), across the United States and Latin America at Investment Banks and Rating Agencies working closely with Sovereign Groups. Michelle originated, sourced and executed live transactions supporting the largest Private Equity firms and sponsors of projects for five years.  Michelle helped rate and finance infrastructure and Project Finance entities totaling more than $15 bln since 2011. Her more than 40 rating reports (upgrades/downgrades, changes in outlook), investment memos and analysis were published and disseminated to global capital markets.


Prior to CBS, Michelle also supported ESG and Climate Finance bond issuances at a Dutch Investment Bank. Michelle is a dual degree holder from Columbia University with Masters in International Monetary Policy & Energy Finance from Columbia’s School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) Class of 2017. Michelle is founder of the first Women in Energy & Infrastructure cohort at Columbia Business School.

Brandon Martin
VP of Communication

Brandon is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to CBS, he worked at Bloomberg managing the commodity hedge fund and energy private equity business. For the summer, he interned with Barclays Investment Bank in their Power & Utilities Group. Brandon received his BS in Business Administration & Finance from Syracuse University.

Bryce Cason

Juliet Brooks
VP of Careers

Bryce is a member of the class of 2022. Bryce began his professional career as a commercial negotiator for Concho Resources, a permian-based E&P, in Midland, Texas. In 2018, Bryce moved to NYC for a role in Tudor, Pickering, and Holt’s Asset Management business, where he focused on marketing infrastructure and renewable hedge funds to institutional investors. Most recently, Bryce worked for Campbell Lutyens, a London-based private placement agent, where he advised private equity fund managers on capital raising. Bryce holds a Bachelor of Science in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Tulsa.

Juliet is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to business school, she worked as a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. At Booz, she started in the Aerospace account doing business process reengineering and strategy work. She then moved into the Defense Energy account, where she vetted potential energy projects and managed installation energy and water reports for Army installations. Juliet holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Concentration in Sustainable Development from Columbia College at Columbia University.

Philippe is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to CBS, Philippe worked as a management consultant at Strategy& in Dubai, UAE, focusing on investments and renewable energy. Philippe holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL).

Milan is a member of the class of 2022. He began his career founding MintGood in Chicago, a video chat technology built for ecommerce businesses to connect with customers. He then moved to lead Business Development at a Miami-based start up in the adtech space. An opportunity with a large TV advertiser brought him to NYC where he managed Client Partnerships with Fortune 500 brands and large broadcasters. Alongside his experience in adtech, he has been helping his family scale a venture in the nuclear energy space. Milan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Account with a Minor in Technology & Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Ritika Patni

Aman is a member of class of 2022. Prior to CBS, he worked at NITI Aayog in India leading their Advanced Chemistry Cells (ACC) Battery Storage manufacturing and was an Infrastructure & Project Finance specialist in Public-Private Partnerships. Previously, he worked in Structured Finance at SBI Capital Markets, Corporate Banking at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, International Taxation at Ernst Young, and Business Development at ITC Limited. Aman has a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from St. Stephen's College.

Ritika is a member of the class of 2022. She started her career as an energy and infrastructure lawyer at Linklaters, a magic circle firm in London, UK where she worked on market-leading transactions involving negotiations for stakeholders as varied as governments, and global banks, and MNCs. After that, she went on to lead the renewables energy division of a diversified group of companies based out of Singapore, specifically driving economic value creation through solar PV recycling and end-of-life industries for a sustainable renewables-based energy future. Ritika pursued her undergraduate studies in law at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, India and is qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales and as an Advocate in India.

Pekun Bakare 
VP of Treks

Pekun is a member of the class of 2022. Prior to CBS, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Project Finance & Syndications division of First Bank of Nigeria where he specialized in raising debt capital for infrastructure projects in the oil and gas, power, telecoms and transport sectors of Nigeria. Following this, Pekun worked on the Infrastructure Fund of Nigeria’s Sovereign Investment Authority where he was responsible for strategic investments including the $8.2bn Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund and renewable energy projects.


Pekun is currently pursuing a Masters in International Affairs (Energy and Environment) from Columbia’s School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) and holds a Bachelors in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University, UK. For his summer internship, Pekun worked in the Investment Banking Division (Natural Resources) of Goldman Sachs.
